insomniac parents- unite

am I the only parent in the US that is still up…and on CC???

nope…although I’m on the east coast, I’ve been up for hours!

did you ever go to bed or are you just up early?

well my vigil has ended
d home safely from Disneyland, had a great time!
night all

glad your daughter is home!
I’m up for no apparent reason…woke up at 3:45…actually, I think it may be because my daughter is travelling!

Haven’t you ever checked the time stamps on my posts?

Menopause really did me in as far as sleep goes…

Same problem here. I don’t even bother to go up to my bed, just doze off and on all night on the sofa. Some of it is the menopause thing; some is probably anxiety about the college admission process; and the rest is making sure my d who is in the throes of senioritis actually does her homework and goes to bed rather that staying up all night on UTube.

As much as I’ll miss her, I think my sleep and health will improve once she goes to college. . .

I agree…the menopause thing is a strong factor. My daughter travelling is a convenient excuse…this time.

momogem, sorry to report that having you children away at school doesn’t help the sleep pattern. At least it didn’t for me sigh

Well, although I’m sure I’ll still be worried about her, once she’s away I’m hoping I’ll be able to use the extra time exercising and doing things to promote better health and sleep. But I don’t expect miracles.

sleep? i sleep worse now than at any other time in my life. i hate it! either i can’t go to sleep and am awake until early morning…or i fall to sleep in an instant only to awaken 3-4 hours later.

tylenol p.m. used to be my secret weapon, but it doesn’t do the trick any more.

My internal clock seems to be wired to night-owl hours too AND my oldest is a freshman in college with no others even in hs (yet).

I think I stumbled into a thread for women…a warning would have been nice :)

huh???

too much talk about menopause LOL
