<p>I’m a Freshman and a Noob in CC. I’ve procrastinated in this website for about 5 hours now, mesmerized by all of you high achievers. Like you i dream of getting into the country’s top universities. Well, here’s my freshman stats just to give you a picture of myself:</p>
<p>3.8 UW
4.1 W</p>
<p>1 honors/ 1 AP (AP HUMAN GEOGRAPHY, INSANELY FUN!)</p>
<p>I hope to end up with a 3.9 UW & 4.2 W by the end of 9th grade. But who frikkin cares about freshman year anyway.</p>
<p>My EC’s are okay i guess, i’ve been volunteering at this food Kitchen (40 hours now) and i’m VP of DECA and i’ll be participating in some competitions. For fun, i’m in the Frosh/Soph. tennis team ( i know, how pathetic. Didn’t make it to JV because sophomores filled the spots.)</p>
<p>Anyways, i’m new to the country (Russian/Scot), my parents and i are totally oblivious about this college process. They think i’m doing well but they haven’t seen you maniacs lol.</p>
<p>So, any advice will be appreciated. Please help the poor foreign freshman lol.</p>

<p>Well… look around this site for a while, and you’ll get the hang of it. I joined when I was a freshman, and its nice to get the bigger picture when you are younger. Keep your grades high, look for interesting opportunities, think about what you want to do, and start looking into studying for standardized tests.</p>

Get off this site! please! It’ll only depress you and waste your time, and in 9th grade you don’t need to be obsessing about college as much as some of us spazzing seniors. </p>

Seriously, leave this Web site; at this time in your life, you don’t need the angst and ambition of CC (which, frankly, doesn’t reflect reality very well).</p>
<p>Keep doing well in school, of course. Take some standardized tests along the way – your AP tests, the SAT I, and a couple of SAT IIs that you think you can do well in based on your coursework. If you can get all of those done by the end of your junior year, you will be a very happy senior.</p>
<p>Most importantly, though – try whatever sounds interesting to you, find things that you love doing, and spend lots of time doing those things. Enjoy your high school years and use them to figure out who you are and what you love. Then when it’s time for you to select and apply to colleges, you will know what you want and you’ll have things on your application that reflect who you are. That will ensure that the right colleges will accept you – the ones at which you will truly be happy.</p>
<p>Seriously. Go away. Come back at the end of your sophomore year if you must, but take what you read here with a grain of salt.</p>
