Institute for Advanced Study

Hi, I’m aware that the Institute for Advanced Study is by no means officially affiliated with Princeton University, and it is a graduate (and post-doctoral) research center more than anything else. However, as prospective physics (or math) majors, do we get to pursue theoretical research as undergraduate students at the institute, due to our princeton affiliation?

My S has been at Princeton for a month and he’s already been to the Instiute for a lecture on string theory by someone well known in the field. Yes it’s on campus and yes it’s part of Princeton.

They’re pretty much right next to each other.
