I have a lovely dd who has been working for Disney in China and has health insurance through them. She is too old to be on our insurance. Her contract with Disney is almost up and she and her boyfriend now are talking about wandering around Asia/Europe for a while. My concern is health insurance. What/where do you get insurance for this circumstance? Is it like long term travel insurance? I don’t know how long they will be traveling or where. Has anyone dealt with this before? Thanks!
The best bet would probably be a traveler’s insurance policy – she could buy for a period of several months and then renew the policy if she extended her stay abroad.
Another option is to ask the U she graduated from to see if there is an alumni plan that might cover. She could also ask Disney if she could pay for her plan to continue and whether it would cover her while traveling.
