<p>Hey guys,</p>

<p>When we purchase the health insurance from CMU, does anybody know how long the coverage period is? When does it take effect and when does it end? </p>

<p>The reason I’m asking is to know when to cancel my current health insurance and whether or not I need to revert back to my current health insurance during the summer or during winter/spring breaks.</p>

<p>CMU’s health insurance is not required. If you already have decent health insurance you don’t need it from CMU. (There’s a form you can complete notifying CMU that you already have health insurance and decline their coverage.)</p>
