Int' can we get aid?

Am from India studying in CBSE curriculum 12 class.I wanted to ask all the Indian and other Int’l students in USA that what type of aids did you all get and can you please name the colleges that I should apply other than the top 10 including stanford,MIT,Harvard etc…to get a full scholarship or aid for studying in USA?

Consider Howard University which has great financial aid and is especially targeting students from [your region](http://www.washingtonpost.com/local/education/howard-us-kathmandu-connection-nepal-emerges-as-top-source-of-foreign-students/2014/08/27/4cd70376-2a20-11e4-958c-268a320a60ce_story.html). They may be very generous if you have good scores and stats.

In addition, if you are looking for a college to attend after you graduate, and you are considering an MBA you may also look into Azusa Pacific’s Millennial MBA Program. This will be for a while after you graduate since you want to have work experiences either here if you become a citizen at some point or more likely back home in Indian.

Do you have any specific majors or preferences of academics that you are interesting in??

Howard university? and i wanna study undergraduate and do CSE studies and specialise in AI

Melaniesdad…the student is looking for undergrad schools. I would suggest you also read the threads in the link I’m providing below.

In terms of need based aid…you have a couple of things to consider.

  1. Some schools that DO give good need based aid to international students are need aware for admissions. This means your ability to pay will be considered when your application is considered. This includes a number of schools that guarantee to meet full need.
  2. There are only six schools that are both need blind for admissions AND guarantee to meet full need for international students. They are very selective...accepting under 10% of international students.

What is your SAT or ACT score? And your GPA? You could get merit aid at some schools.

Look at the different threads in this link. You will need to check to see IF these awards are given to international students.

MY gpa is 9.6 in 10 points and sat score 2230

Try USC, their merit aid is great for internationals

I’m not international, but here’s a list that might be useful to you:

As you probably know, Amherst, Dartmouth, MIT, and as expected, HYP are all need-blind and full-need for international students. These are the schools that thumper1 is talking about in their second point.
