<p>I was wondering what topic you ED guys chose for the intectually exiciting essay. I wrote something about math and was afraid Im setting myself up for a bad trap with a boring tone. However I tried to make it interesting and lighthearted. What did you ED accepetees chose as topics and were any of them as boring as mines?(Im a RD applicant)</p>

<p>I was deferred and I wrote my intellectual essay on connections between music and mathematics. It was pretty poorly thought out and very rushed, and overall the essays were probably the weakest part of my app.</p>

<p>I got in EA and wrote about wikipedia.</p>
<p>I got in EA and wrote about water. It just impresses me - so I talked about why I thought it was cool.</p>
