intel/siemens: the same thing?

I’m confused. It seems as if the siemens and the intel competitions are the same things. However, they have different applications and different deadlines. The projects entered seem to be the same.

two different competitions. However, many people use the same projects for both, as well as for their local science fair.

intel’s more of a college application with the greatest emphasis on the research.

siemens’ just a research competition.

texas and needhelp are both right. Intel is “older” (it’s actually the Science Talent Search) and thus more prestigious. Have you seen the websites for both?
