Intellectual Diversity on college campuses?

I"m opposed to ideas of litmus tests and whatnot. My first publications were in communist journals.

Who cares?

I still get to vote. Also, I’m no longer a Marxist, though I really don’t see the harm in it that some people do.

This is actually why I believe strongly that kids really benefit from having exposure to all sorts of biases from their professors and great professors will even assign texts and readings in opposition to their views, just for the sake of exposure. Some will assign papers deliberately designed so that half the class arbitrarily has to argue the opposition point. And this is also why the debate team is a good thing.

There you can find yourself arguing against your own beliefs. Excellent way to test what you really believe.
