"Intellectual" Esssay--is my essay considered "intellectual"? Please Help!

Hi, I am thinking about writing it on my foreign experience in Azerbaijan. I just wanna describe how I met this groups of kids on the road, who were building a house with rudimentary materials. I wanna reflect upon how friendly they are towards Americans and reach the conclusion that friendliness transcends mutual understanding. Is my topic considered “intellectual”?
Thanks a lot!

thank you, guys!

bump…bump

Doesn’t seem to fit the prompt. Maybe it’d be good for the 11b essay.

hmm i donno my understanding of the prompt was that they wanted something to do with philosophy, intellectual ideas, concepts, morality, etc.

Since my major is biomed engineering, I talked about the moral/ethical issues and how we have to compromise blah blah

Thanks a lot!

Hmmm…don’t see how it is “intellectual”. Most kids are friendly to strangers (isn’t that what kidnappers take advantage of?) regardless if they share the same language with the strangers. The conclusion you try to draw seems tenuous especially when the friendliness comes primarily from the innocence of children while “mutual understanding” is valued by a more mature state of mind.

i think this particular experience would work better for the roommate question!

thx guys. Englightening! I was really in doubt too. Thx!
