<p>yes, $7 thro DHL. The company my dad works for sends large shipment thro DHL frequently, so they get a 60% discount. So…my dad sent my application thro’ his company and hence the $7</p>

<p>gosh that’s so cheap. I spent around $5 sending only my part of the application via regular registered mail… which doesn’t take any responsibility for lost items (it hasn’t failed me though :))</p>

<p>u sent everything in one package? I used 5 envelopes per sch… one for my part of the application, one for final sch report, 2 for teacher rec, and one for finaid forms… (except wesleyan which requested everything to be sent in one package) can imagine how much that costs…</p>

<p>Def, you’re so lucky. My school pays nothing unless you’re a scholarship student there. Then they pay for the SAT’s and TOEFL, give you application fee waivers and I think somehow pay for the mailing of the applications even though it’s given to the student to send themselves. I really envy those who attend schools who pay for at least some/all of the recommendation mailing.</p>
<p>I sent everything in one packet. Huge A5 envelope (because recs and transcipt in a sealed A4 envelope) and finaid forms and…oh all things…bubble wrap glued on the inside of the huge envelopes… 
But it felt cute to stroke it. <em>blush</em> Size + weight = $??</p>
<p>My school paid to have the recs and the school report mailed. They even offered to mail all of my stuff too. But of course by then I had already sent it myself. Just a few days too early.</p>

<p>Yeah, they were all in the same envelope. If it’s work for your school for years (as it has for mine), then it can’t be a problem. :)</p>

<p>Everybody else: Are we playing the “who has to pay the most for mailing fees”? I think we can all agree living overseas puts a serious dent in our budget when it comes to mailing the app. Then there are some schools which charge intels higher than domestics for app fees…</p>
