does your intended major play any role in admissions? does penn like to admit students who are interested in different majors, or do they not care? if a structured my recomendations and the why penn essay around my intended major, will that do me any good?

also, is it too late to send supplementary materials to admissions (deeper explanation of extra curriculars) and how do interviews work?

I don’t think they care so much about the majors, though I’m sure it wouldn’t hurt at all if your recommendations and essay focused on a certain major. I just don’t think that being undecided or something like that would really hurt you. They know that most college students change their majors before graduation, anyway.

With the interviews, I believe they will contact you if they have one avaliable. You can’t call and get one yourself. If there are alumni in your area that have the time to do interviews, they’ll randomly pick people and call them about it.

And I’m not sure about the supplementary materials. You could always send them anyway. I know they haven’t gotten through all the applications yet. If everything else was in, they might just add your extra stuff to your folder without a second thought.

wut if my supp materials arrive before my school report etc??

Then that’s probably even better. People keep saying you can send the SR and everything late so send the supp stuff before then and they probably won’t mind. Sending them all together could work, too.
