Intending Math vs Intending Unspecified

So on the UC App, there are multiple choices for undeclared in the College of Letters and Science:

Intending Mathematical, Physical, or Biological Sciences
Intending Social Sciences, Arts or Humanities
Intending Unspecified Letters & Science

I’m currently really unsure of what major I’m pursuing, currently I’m closer to CS but I want to keep my options open withing the College of L+S. Aparently declaring unspecified letters and science puts you in competition “for applying to the Business Administration major”, so will choosing it affect my chances of getting in? I’ve heard that anything in the L+S is undeclared, but I don’t want to end up choosing something impacted on accident.

Intended major should not matter for frosh admission purposes if you apply to L&S, but the impacted or capped majors require higher GPAs to declare.

Some capped majors:

Note that math and applied math are not capped majors: https://math.berkeley.edu/programs/undergraduate/majoring-mathematics

Business is a separate division: http://www.haas.berkeley.edu/Undergrad/ucb_admissions.html
