I was surprised I never heard of these experiments, apparently the US gov didn’t either. Thought it was interesting that the US gov allegedly just found out about the experiments. Either the gov is lying or the agencies do not communicate efficiently with other branches of gov. Scary nonetheless.

Read the definition of intelligence as defined by the APA. It says nothing about current events. I hardly think Bill Gates can recall every secret gov action. You are right: not knowing about something the entire US gov was unaware of has something to do with my IQ. Not.

And, PM me or email if you want a copy of my IQ test. I don’t see how passively mentioning my IQ once on the forum in 2 1/2 years equates to so much resent by people on here. Jesus, grow up. People have higher IQ’s than you.

“Actually, you might have. Remember when it was like a big deal that Obama’s pastor accused the US of creating AIDs? He was referring to this.”

I thought he was referring to the experiments done in the US on blacks. I was surprised that this has not appeared in any of my sociology or psych books is a better way of stating why I was surprised. I thought after the ones done in the early 1900s we were done with giving people STDs.

There are plenty of things the US government has done that does not appear anywhere in sociology or psych books.

For example, the forced sterilization of Native American women doesn’t appear anywhere generally except in classes that are specific to Native American issues. The American government generally doesn’t like to admit things, and therefore they are grossly underreported in both universities and the news.

In other words, doesn’t surprise me at all.

^ Still trust them more than the private insurance companies. I had great health insurance when I was on MI Child. Can’t say I have ANYTHING good to say about private insurance companies that I’ve been with.
