Essay: Pretty good, addressed the major-related question talking about my first flying experience a couple years back and how it has changed my perception not only on academics, but life. My grandfather was a pilot in WW2 and died in a freak plane accident on his way to visit me last year. I stopped flying for a while, but realized that I was meant to fly. I feel more comfortable in air, than on land.

Comments: I know UCLA is a long shot, but I feel like UCSD is in reach. Mech is very impacted at both UCLA and UCSD so maybe i’ll get in under my Alternate?? Which is Civil Engineering.
