Interest shown in subjects?

Hi, I am interested in either SHA or like Econ in CAS, and I know Cornell wants “fit”. So, would they search for this fit in your academics too? Like say, the business subjects at my school, Principles of Business, Principles of Accounts and Economics, they would see these subjects as a plus right?

Yes… of course. But other factors (GPA, test scores, essay) will be much more important.

depends on what you’re applying for.

hotel - fit is more important. have jobs where you provide services/hospitality, whether it’s working in a hotel, restaurant or retail. unless you’re interested in real estate - then you can also participate in mock real estate competitions, etc.

CAS - you don’t apply with a major with CAS. so GPA, test scores, essay, etc will be more important. correct me if i’m wrong, but i’m pretty sure you don’t declare your major in CAS until the end of your sophomore year/beginning of jr yr.
