Interest?

I recently applied to Northwestern WCAS. I was never able to visit because it’s fairly far from where I live (NY) and they didn’t send a representative to my school. Will it look bad that I wasn’t able to check any of the boxes on the supplement? Thanks

I dunno how NU tracks “interest”. I know schools like WU look at this heavily while schools like Stanford do not. They will probably understand once they see you’re from NY though.

I visited NU last spring break and, ew, it was terrible weather (sleet storm)! It as after visiting St. Louis, which had wonderful, 60+ weather when I was used to about 5 degrees in MN. haha, I still loved the campus and the people though and have thus applied. I used to live in the Chicago area and now live in Minnesota, so I guess I could get used to the weather, though I doubt it’s as bad as MN’s.

I’m pretty sure NU takes interest into alot of consideration, especially if you visit from out of state. If you couldn’t make it, they’ll definately understand. It’s like SAT II’s, not required, just suggested. It won’t make or break you, it’s just a positive thing some people can add to their app.
