<p>Free pre-engineering event at UMD on Maryland Day (Sat, April 24, 2010)! This event is for high school students from any state.</p>
<p>Discover Engineering is a half-day event for high school students interested in pursuing engineering careers. The event is hosted by the Maryland chapter of SWE. Participants in this event will learn more about the Clark School of Engineering by participating in hands-on activities and by interacting with current engineering students. Thanks to our corporate sponsors, there is no cost to participants, and a free breakfast and lunch will be provided.</p>
<p>Maryland Day, a campus-wide all day event at the University of Maryland, is held on the same day as Discover Engineering. On Maryland Day, each department showcases their programs to the public. After our program, students will have plenty of time to explore the other displays and activities on campus if they wish. <p>The University of Maryland is located on Rt. 1 (Baltimore Ave.) in College Park (Prince George’s County). <p>The J.M. Patterson Building is located across from the Regents Drive parking garage with access from Stadium Drive. Parking in the garage is free on Saturdays.</p>
<p>The deadline to register is April 17, 2010. Registration is limited to the first 120 students.</p>
