Interested in investing - what class to take?

I’m an engineering major so I don’t get many electives. I’ve decided to just sit in on some classes that I think would be interesting. I’m interested in money and I guess what to do as far as investments. What would be a good class to check out? [University of Washington Time Schedule](University of Washington Time Schedule)

I learned a lot about investing from macroecon, but you’d also have to learn a lot of unrelated things.

Assuming you are interested in investments on a corporate scale:

Econ 442 - Investment, Capital, and Finance
Econ 454 - Cost-Benefit Analysis
Fin 350 - Business Finance
Fin 423 - Banking and the Financial System
Fin 454 - Business Valuation, Investment, and Financing
Fin 460 - Investments
Fin 461 - Financial Futures and Options Markets

All of them have a lot of pre-reqs though, so I am not sure if you could easily follow the lectures. On a more elementary level, you might find micro economics interesting. (Macro deals with the economy as a whole, micro with the decision-making process of individual ‘units’ in the economy)

the pre-reqs will probably be financial accounting and finance 1, which are really standard for b. school
