Saw this article in yesterday’s paper. Will be interested to see the outcomes – but it will take 3 years. Is there any way to turn this “epidemic” around?

[Researcher Studies Epidemic Of Student Cheating – Courant.com](http://www.courant.com/news/education/hc-cheatingstudents0908.artsep08,0,3618637.story)

Wow, those comments following the article were very negative regarding this study, which ought to be supported. Maybe that’s another indication of society’s ‘bad attitude’ about cheating?

I was taught that cheating was wrong, that it indicated a flawed character and was a sign of weakness. I guess that was “when” because the level of cheating, in big ways and small, is truly epidemic today. Can that many people be wrong? I’d hope not. Adults are setting a really bad example for kids these days, and IMHO student cheating is merely a reflection of what kids see.
