Interesting Book

I’m currently reading Diane Brady’s book, “Fraternity: In 1968, a visionary priest recruited 20 black men to the College of the Holy Cross and changed their lives and the course of history.” [Amazon.com: the fraternity: Books](http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss/192-2765286-6121329?url=search-alias%3Dstripbooks&field-keywords=the+fraternity&x=0&y=0)

Although post #283 in the Holy Cross Historical Trivia thread already mentioned this book, it’s of much more general historical interest for the the picture it paints of the late 1960’s era and for the insights it gives into some of the influences that formed SCOTUS Justice Clarence Thomas. Though I personally abhor Thomas’ political ideology, there is no question that his positions have had a major impact on our politics. I highly recommend this very interesting book.
