Interesting story at Princeton today:

The Daily Princetonian;

Or as the campus police obliquely notified the student body of the bizarre situation:

"April 5, 2005

The Department of Public Safety is alerting members of the campus community to an ongoing criminal investigation related to a graduate student, xxxxxxxx, who was arrested March 30 by Princeton Borough police on charges of reckless endangerment of another person, tampering with a food product, theft and harassment in connection with incidents involving drink tampering and cutting of women’s hair. The student is not on campus and is currently barred from returning.

The student was under investigation by campus and local police as a suspect in a small number of on-campus incidents prior to his arrest. The scope of the investigation has widened since his arrest, following his confession of involvement in dozens of incidents."

What happened to the website? Maybe this is another Yale prank.

That’s what I thought at first - revenge for the Hargadon break-in, or whatever.

But then someone forwarded the apparent notice from the campus cops.

And here’s the story from the local paper:

http://www.zwire.com/site/news.cfm?newsid=14283623&BRD=1091&PAG=461&dept_id=425695&rfi=6

that’s some creepy stuff. “drink tampering”, whoa…

… and the Eyewitness News account!

http://abclocal.go.com/wabc/news/wabc_040505_campusscandal.html

This is off topic, but I thought that Princeton was solely an undergraduate institution. How is he going to Princeton for graduate school then?

no princeton is not solely an undergraduate institution, princeton just does not have a business/law/medical school, but they have some graduate degrees. since they lack those 3 respective schools, the graduate school receives a lot less attention than that of the undergrad

Looks like somebody should have been “paying attention” to this PARTICULAR graduate student!

thats disgusting lol =/

yeah I saw this on the news… he only targets asian women :S. creepy. this makes me feel better about not being accepted. just a bit though… :(

A Harvard professor is caught stealing horse**** (manure):

http://www.boston.com/dailynews/096/region/Harvard_professor_accused_of_s:.shtml

And the Administration has a leak (top secret Harvard study picked up by the Chinese press):

http://64.233.161.104/search?q=cache:znRWOH2y3FUJ:www.beijingportal.com.cn/7838/2005/03/31/1820%402576112.htm+“Harvard’s+overall+student+satisfaction+comes+out+to+3.95”&hl=en

Byerly suggested comparing the number of links to each story by tomorrow, so I put Google News links in the Harvard thread about the manure-thieving Harvard professor.

Great find, pcessly. I always wondered how the profs reloaded. Gotta believe the late-night talk shows will have some fun with this one. ;)

I am not sure the Princeton story will make it to China though. LOL

MSN reported the Harvard survey last week on its website (The Boston Globe had gotten a copy of that study).

Byerly has amazingly disappeared:)

And so he did. :)

There is some serious dirt at Princeton. It is a good university, no doubt about that, but they aint all sugar coated like people think.

yea … didn’t they hack yale’s admissions database or something? I think that hurt pton’s rep more than this one psycho with creepy obsessions.
