<p>I’m auditioning for the interlochen summer arts camp as a piano major. the audition information tells me to choose 2 songs of contrasting styles. which would be better? I’m debating between 3 songs right now: beethoven, joplin, or chopin. which two should i select that would would best demonstrate contrasting styles and techniques? i was originally going to do joplin and beethoven, but my friend who went there last summer said that chopin and beethoven would be better. although they are different styles, i don’t think it will be contrasting enough? and i like the joplin piece too. but at the same time, i do want to be admitted.
any input and advice would be fantastic.
