Internaitonal student - help! This is not good!

<p>I just got my SAT scores today…it didn’t go too well –> around 1850
I’m applying to Columbia U, Upenn, MIT and Dartmouth. How big impact will my sat scores have on my admissions?</p>

<p>Besides that, I am very engaged in my school and help my school a lot.
I will also get two super recommendation letters from my english and math/chemistry teacher. I also do volunteer work (a tutor) and participate in sports and used to play the piano.</p>

<p>Should I still apply to these schools or is it not worth it?
Please help!</p>

<p>If you can retake the test, do so. I believe most schools accept the January deadline, and people generally do better the second time they take the SAT (I went from a 2060 to a 2260). I’m sure you can pull off at least a 2000 if you dedicate yourself.</p>
