internation transfer student

Hello,

I’m a student at Warsaw University (Poland) where I’m studying mathematics and computer science. I’m going to get there my master’s degree in mathematics and Bachelor’s degree in computer science. However I’d like to apply to MIT to get my master’s degree in computer science.

Could you help me to answer these questions:
Is it hard to get to MIT as a international transfer student?
How many points do I need to get in TOEFL test?
Will I need to pass any kind of exams at MIT?
How much are tuition fees?

If you want to get a master’s degree from MIT, you would not apply as a transfer student – you would apply as a graduate student.

It is very difficult to be admitted to MIT for a master’s in computer science (about 2000 people apply every year for about 100 spots, IIRC), but it is more difficult to be admitted as a transfer undergraduate student.

The EECS graduate admissions webpage is here. They have an FAQ which should answer most of your questions.

Thanks, it was very helpful.
