International Business as a Major

I did a search and didn’t find anything.

What are your thoughts on the value of an International Business major?

Seems like today’s version of a Business Administration major - which was pretty generic and light on course depth.

Any thoughts? Any examples of success in this area (success being valued job placement)?

International business combined with fluency in a valuable language (Chinese, Arabic, Spanish) could be a plus. I have MBA in International business with fluency in Russian, French and German. It was great in the 80s and 90s - not so valuable now. Everyone in Europe speaks English!!!

University of South Carolina Moore College of Business has been rated #1 for undergraduate international business for 11 years in a row (far above Wharton).

Students with degrees in international business plus a specialty such as accounting are in heavy, heavy demand.
