International Dropout.

I am an engineering student. The college I got allotted in my country is terrible. The teachers dont know anything. They dont help us out with doubts related to even their own subjects let alone when we ask help in applying for internships. We dont even have proper laborataries for practicals. and tons of other blah blah blah

So, naturally, I have lost all interest in continuing my education there. Although, I am still interested in getting an engineering degree.

I scored 88% in grade 10 and around 75% in grade 12. I am an avid swimmer. I sketch as well. But due to being in this college, in the past two years I havent got the chance to engage in any activited because my college does not promote sports or any other activities.

I want to study Aeronautical Engineering and piloting.

I am clueless as to how to apply to universities. I have registered for Jan sat 2013.
I am very concerened if good universities will accept me and how should i go about the process as such.

I am thinking of applying to EmbryRiddle as my main choice but it is very expensive and i dont have that many funds so i need heavy financial aid. Should i even consider ivy league colleges?

i know this post is all over the place but i need some basic questions answered. I know i can do extremely well in college and dont want to waste my life with some mediocre degree.
