According to the College Board website it’s only possible for american citizens but Im a canadian citizen trying to transfer to a US university. Is it possible for me to get this through a college financial advisor?

sunday bump

The international fee waiver is almost going to be like a catch-22, because the fee waiver means that you are low income and at the same time, most schools are not need blind to international students and the ability to pay will be a factor (very few schools include canadians and mexican students in the same category as U.S. students). Those that are need blind to international students are the hardest to gain admissions to as the international pool is very large with very few spots. The big orange college board fee waiver is telling people off the bat, that you need money.

Your best bet may be to look into schools that waive fees if you apply on line, or if the application fees are going to be a problem, then you need to carefully choose schools where you have a reasonable chance of being admitted and getting the aid that you need.

Thanks. Very good advice.

I thought that Columbia and Stanford were needs blind though…
