Hey ! So this is coming from an international student at Rutgers pursuing BS in Aerospace & Mechanical engineering. All the schools you listed above are strong and comparable. But after years of experience in the USA, I would like to point out the three most important points.
- Tuition (Based on scholarship)
- Location (Strategic location of a school near to certain companies can give a good chance of internship or job)
- The strength of engineering program
Based on the 1st parameter:-
- Michigan State
- Iowa State
- Arizona State
- Virgina Tech
Based on the 2nd parameter:-
- Arizona State
- Michigan State
- (Shared) Vtech and Iowa State
Based on the 3rd parameter:-
- Vtech
- ASU and MSU
- ISU
→ Michigan State has a decent engineering program, good research, and good reputation with employers.
→ Arizona State has a good engineering program, great research, and good reputation with employers.
→ Vtech as it has a great engineering program, great research, and decent reputation with employers.
→ Iowa State as it has a decent engineering program, great research and decent reputation with employers.
It’s based on whether you want to get employed after graduation. Seeing the amount of scholarship, reputation and program I would go with Michigan State. Remember, all these are big schools because they are state universities.
