Hello everybody! So after recently clearing the National Geography Olympiad in my country with a bronze medal, I was selected to represent my nation in the International Geography Olympiad (iGEO) 2018. I was pretty excited at first but I was just told that I would have to pay ~USD3,600 in order to be able to attend which, owing to my family’s financial situation, isn’t going to happen. I was thinking of updating the colleges I had applied to with this information but I’m now kinda unsure as to how I should go about it. How should I phrase my update and should I even send one in the first place? All help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!
