<p>I went on Cornell’s website and look at the break-down of enrollment of internationals at Cornell, and it seems that internationals do not have significant presence in A&LS. Does it mean that acceptance for internationals is low, or that the matriculation rate for internationals is low?</p>

<p>International students comprise 5% of the CALS student body. That compares to around 8% for Arts. So I don’t know if it is significantly lower, and can probably just be attributed to lack of knowledge of the programs and/or interest. </p>
<p>The one thing we can say about non-North American international students is that those applying for aid tend to have a lower acceptance rate than those who do not apply for aid.</p>
<p>I suspect that the enrollment levels for graduate students is much higher. And CALS has a long and proud history of working internationally. If it wasn’t for CALS, there would have been a lot more starvation in India and Southeast Asia over the last century.</p>
