International Relations/Studies Major on a budget

I am very interested in International Relations and I plan on going to grad school. Chances are I will get very little financial aid and my parents dont want to help pay 40k a year for my undergrade. So what are some top international relations schools that either offer academic scholarships or are less expensive. (I really like Georgetown and John Hopkins but theyre too expensive)

Your chances of getting an academic scholarship depend on your stats, of course.

Depending on your home state, your state flagship might provide a good program in IR. Many state flagships offer excellent programs in IR/IS and language and area studies.

If you have an interest in a particular world region, you might consider applying to a school that has a language flagship program. I believe scholarships are available for students admitted to many of the language flagship programs. These programs can provide superior language training and you would combine it with a major in another field. This need not be IR; it could be economics or another field relevant to international relations.
You can also consider these international business programs at U South Carolina if you’re interested in either China or the Middle East, which will provide excellent opportunities for language training and international experience.
