There’s nothing to suggest pleasure either. I didn’t even consider that answer as it’s completely against the personality/self-view that she had in the whole passage.

@zhszh44

what were the other answer choices anyway? i can’t remember them. But I chose a different answer.

@miasanmia & zhshzh44

There was only 1 answer that dealed with “contrasting styles” or “different approaches” right?

@miasanmia & coldflame
I chose brothers take different approaches towards instruments …

I think none of them. I just write the gist of what I remember.

Yes. The last few sentences of the passage which CB did not give us, do suggest pleasure, but I couldn’t infer this from the given text either.

@zh

I think I did something similar, something about how they had differen/contrasting style/approaches.

I don’t remember any “stodgy” or “quirkiness”

Also, did everyone get “qualify and reinforce previous assertions”

@coldflame

i think i got the same answer as you. they both used the piano to express themselves… or smthing

@coldflame… again

i chose list and explain other theories…

@coldflame, I don’t remember stodgy/quirkiness either, and I got “qualify and reinforce” too.

For the piano question, I just remember putting an answer that talking about how they had different/contrasting style/approach with the piano…

Anyone remember the writing question with “the employers were reluctant trusting the employees”? And did they say “reluctant trusting” was the mistake? I really wasn’t too sure about that one.

Also, the kid doing the keyboard gesture? Was that admiration?

@ miasanmia
the question should be ‘qualify and reinforce an assertion’ since the sentence goes like this, ‘but even if that temperature rise is 5…, it still would have negative effects on earth…’ Thus, the author qualify and reinforce his assertion by listing several consequences of rising temperature.

@maxyend
i dont think it was so much as reinforcing as much as listing new theories. he defo moved onto new topics that expanded from that line

Had to be “admiration”

But yeah, can anyone confirm for the piano question, there was only 1 answer which discussed “contrasting” or “different” styles

@Miasanmia, no, you’re wrong. Like zhshzh44 explained.

@ maxyend
- error to say reluctant doing, it should be ‘reluctant to do sth’
- it was admiration since the author got the hang of music and he could play it well without sheet music. Therefore, kids would assume playing keyboards when they see author.

Coldflame, it was the different approaches/results answer.

Also, passage 1 used “scientific predictions” more than passage 2?
