Still waiting for Miasanmia.

Still floored by my writing score. MC: 63, I have no idea how it’s possible, given I’ve repeatedly aced my writing scores in the past. I almost want to ask for score verification…

So bizarre.

Edit: Funny how nobody in this thread seems pleased with their scores. :p

@ Maxyend
We’re not gonna hear anything from him, I guess.
@bnjmnkrs
My scores make me raise some doubts too. I ordered the student response service (you know, the one where they give you the test as well) for the May test. I had answered //9/0 on one of the grid-ins, but the system had recognized 9/_/9/0. Hence, wrong answer. Though I’m sure that I couldn’t see any erase marks on the answer sheet. Weird stuff. But now it’s on to the next one. There’s not much I can do for practice. I ace all practice tests. I don’t get why I failed this one.

@Duffman, can you not ask ETS to check it out manually in a case like that?

@DuffMan1991 How did you check essay score?

Yup, it will be a good day for students everywhere when the SAT goes digital. Anyway, there’s no point in letting stuff like this bother you, que sera sera.

To check essay score go here:
[SAT - College Board - The Most Widely Used College Admission Exam](<a href=“The SAT – SAT Suite | College Board”>The SAT – SAT Suite | College Board)
then select scores and then 10/6/12: Available
Yes, you can ask ETS to check the test manually, but it costs another 50USD. (I don’t get how CB can be “non-profit” ). Hence, I’d rather make another test…

^So if I see an answer that is marked wrong that doesn’t make sense when I get the report on the 30th, I can order a check and my score should go up?

@Duffman
Actually, if your test was scored incorrectly and they check it and find an error, you don’t pay anything. Only if they made no mistake do you have to pay.

Maxyend, you won’t see which answer is marked wrong on the 30th. You’ll see how many Qs you answered correctly, incorrectly and how many you omitted. If you see for example that they’ve recorded 2 omitted answers and you’re sure that you didn’t omit anything, you could order verification and your score will go up. But you won’t see if you marked question 14 from section 3 correctly or incorrecrly.

bnjmnkrs, I read that too. But if they say that they’ve been right, and I’d have to take their word for that, I would’ve wasted another 50 bucks. So I won’t do it, since I’ll get my chance again in December anyway.

@Duffman, then how did you know about the 9_90 thing?

I ordered the Student Answer service. They send you the test you took with the answers. It is only available for May tests worldwide.

Hi, guys

Is there any possible way we can find out the correct answers for Critical Reading? I got a very abysmal score in reading…and I don’t know what happened :/

@DuffMan1991 I know how to check my score, but not my essay score… it only shows the scores of my three subjects, but not my essay…

How are your Writing scores? I did amazingly badly this time. I wonder was I out of my mind or what Good thing Writing doesn’t matter but 580 is really unusual for me.

Actually writing is important for many schools. At duke, for example, I hear they actually average it and CR to obtain an English score.

hey anyone has ever expected this kind of prob? We took the Oct Sat as usual but then there was a black out, so the test was postponed till 2 weeks later. So does anyone know when will we receive the score?

@Pulverize wow… if you guys took the same test as us 2 weeks later, that is no way fair! This thread and many others discussing the test questions were created right after people finished taking the test!

I’m sure the questions are different…I hope?

It would be hard to imagine that collegeboard would make a whole different SAT test for the few students during the blackout.
