international school of indiana indianapolis

Does anyone know international school of indiana indianapolis school? A friend’s son from China is thinking of applying it. I’d appreciate if you could share any info you might have about this school. Thanks.

Busybostonmom- Is the family moving to Indianapolis? How old is the child? What are his/her interests? We live in Indy and, though we don’t have kids at ISI, we are very familiar with the school and the whole private school landscape in Indy. If they are moving to town, there are other options as well. Send me a private message of you’d like, happy to give whatever help we can!

I actually know quite a lot about the International School as my children have studied there. It is a truly exceptional school. It has an all IB curriculum where every student sits for the entire IB exam and their results on the IB exam has been impressive. ISI graduates are attending some of the most prestigious colleges and universities not just in the United States but globally. Recent graduates are studying at Cambridge University as well as Yale, Columbia, MIT, Cal Tech, Penn… If you look at their college admissions about one quarter of their graduates are attending what would be considered the most selective colleges and universities. In May it was rated by the Washington Post survey of High Schools as one of the top 50 High Schools in the United States in terms of rigor of curriculum and college preparedness. I am proud that my kids are attending ISI and we are exceptionally pleased with the education they are receiving. I would be happy to answer any questions you might have if you want to send me a private message.

The International School of Indiana (ISI) is a phenomenal school (all my children attend), and was recently rated as one of the top 50 high schools in the nation by the Washington Post. The faculty, staff, parents, and students are passionate about learning. The level of engagement is fantastic. ISI nonselective—meaning ALL students sit for the FULL IB Diploma. Not just some subjects. Not just the “cream of the crop” students. ISI’s students surpass the national average (“cream of the crop” students only admitted) world average pass rates. Students are admitted to prestigious colleges and universities worldwide. ISI has a 100% graduation rate, and the students are exceptionally well-prepared for their college studies and for the rapidly evolving world. Please contact me if you have further questions.

@busybostonmom, is your friend aware that this is a day school? Is the family moving to Indianapolis?

^GMT: ISI has a program in which international students can come over on exchange and do the IB whilst living with host families from the school.

I am a recent graduate of ISI, so I can answer general questions about the school.

Thank you all for sharing the info It’s very helpful. The boy’s family won’t move to Indianapolis so he needs to find a host family. I’ll PM some of you to get more details info after talking to the family.
