International student aid CMC/ U-Penn

Was wondering if anybody could give any insight on the avalibility and generosity of aid for international students at these schools. Even though my family is not under any circumstance poor, we have large expenses particularly in my brothers school fees, and due to my own school fees- my parents have not been able to save up to pay the full fees out of pocket. I would probably be able to pay around $35k of the $70k.

Would appreciate any insights on the generosity of these schools to international schools, particularly to those with special circumstances (such as myself).

My application will, on the whole, be strong- good ACT/ GCSEs/ A-level predictions/ extracurriculars/ essays.

Need-based Financial Aid Requirements for non-U.S. citizens
CMC is committed to meeting 100% of demonstrated need of all admitted students, regardless of citizenship. However, as a “need aware” institution, CMC takes into account a student’s ability to pay the full-cost of attendance as a part of admission criteria for applicants that are not U.S. citizens or U.S. Permanent Residents. CMC has limited financial resources for international students.

Any student that needs financial assistance to cover the full-cost of attendance must indicate that they are applying for need-based financial aid on their admission application and follow the financial aid application procedures for international students.

Students who do not apply for or do not receive financial aid upon admission are not eligible to be considered for financial aid in future years while enrolled at CMC.

Penn provides need-based assistance to admitted international students whose families require financial support to afford Penn. For admitted students, Penn meets demonstrated need for eight semesters or four years through a grant-based aid package as long as they continue to demonstrate financial need, making it possible to graduate without debt. Students must reapply for financial aid each academic year.

Both schools are need aware for admissions for international students. This means your ability to pay WILL be considered when your application for admission is considered.
