International student as undergrad but 28 yo?can that work

My son would love to go through the process again…lots of entry money spent to get the facts to the Colleges for at least a try last year…but no go. He is 6’6’’ and loves sport…what to do …we are from Australia…

Yes, he can apply for undergraduate admission. Would he be a first year student, or a transfer?

He needs to consider the schools very carefully, because he is a non-traditional age student. Not all colleges and universities are prepared to accept students his age as undergraduates. He may be more comfortable in an environment with a decent-sized community of non-trad students, and/or grad students. Some places will let undergraduates who are his age live in graduate student residence halls, rather than requiring that they live with a bunch of crazed teenagers.

There is a sub-forum on Non-Traditional applicants that might give you some ideas. You can find it by clicking on “Specialty College Admissions Topics” at the top of this forum.
