Background:

Intended majors:

  • Business
  • Marketing/ Management
  • Economics

The colleges that I am applying to:

  • Brandeis University
  • Bucknell University
  • Colby College
  • Colgate University
  • Franklin and Marshall College
  • Gettysburg College
  • American University of Bulgaria
  • Lehigh University
  • Middlebury College
  • Babson College
  • Trinity College (Connecticut)
  • Trinity University (San Antonio) - applying Regular Decision
  • University of Richmond
    -Franklin College Switzerland
    -University of Pennsylvania
    -Hamilton College

I would be happy to attend any of these colleges, even though I know there are a lot of differences between them. So what do you think my chances are?

I don’t know if it’s helpful, but I’m sure you will be accepted to at least one of these schools

Only one I really know about is Trinity University in San Antonio, TX and I’d say you’re probably a match there. They do give out scholarships. If you have a compelling story, write it. I wrote about my grandfather’s defection from East Germany (he was a communist, but he refused to complete his mandatory military service so he had to leave the country) for my essay and they found it to be interesting. I’m a Texas resident and I got close to $20,000 in scholarship money to go there. I still haven’t made a decision. Who knows? We might see each other there.

Brandeis University-High Match

  • Bucknell University-Not sure
  • Colby College- Not sure
  • Colgate University-high match
  • Franklin and Marshall College-low match
  • Gettysburg College-Match
  • American University of Bulgaria-Not sure
  • Lehigh University-Match
  • Middlebury College-Match
  • Babson College-Low Match
  • Trinity College (Connecticut)- Not sure
  • Trinity University (San Antonio) - applying Regular Decision-Not sure
  • University of Richmond-Match
    -Franklin College Switzerland-High Safety
    -University of Pennsylvania-SUPER HIGH REACH
    -Hamilton College-High Match-Low Reach

Your list is way way too big, cut it down by like half. I would recommend to keep Brandeis, Gettysburg, Lehigh, Babson, URichmond, Franklin College Switzerland and Hamilton. Your choice though.

UPenn and Middlebury are super reaches. You have a shot at some of the rest, although Colby, Colgate, and Hamilton will be difficult with your stats.

He got into Hamilton College with a 4200$ EFC. :)

Thanks everyone for you help! I truly appreciate sharing part of your time to answer my question. I look forward to meeting you one day and wish you the best !!! :D
