<p>Hi!
My name is Ana and I’m from Serbia but I live in Peru, I really want to go and study abroad, specially in a Ivy League College, I want to share with you a bit my “curriculum”, I know I may not have many chances but I want to try no matter what. I tend to write a lot and get into details so I will try to make this quick haha.
Mini Biography:
I was born in Serbia, when I was 3 due to my parent’s work we moved to Bolivia, I lives there 3 years, then went back to Serbia and after a few months we moved to Peru, here I lived 6 years, in 3 different regions (coast, highlands and jungle). Then I spent 6th grade of elementary in Serbia, and then back to Lima, Peru; I’m here since 2007. Kind of puzzling right?
All these experiences made me a more open minded person, giving me a new perspective on life, it is also the reason why I would like to major in Political Science.
High School:
I have always been top 30% of the class, out of 25 classmates; then in my junior year (here high school lasts 5 years, so this was the 4th year), I decided I wanted to go abroad to study, and I needed a challenge and a better preparation for college, that’s when I decided to change school, and to go to another that has the IB Diploma, so I stayed and extra year.
Extracurricular
I’m a very curious person so there is a big range of extracurriculars I have done from 9th to 12 grade: Karate (1st place in the metropolitan championship in Lima), Horseback riding, dance, foreing exchange to Maryland and WashingtonDC, and my favourite which is debate club.
What happened after high school:
I actually applied to 2 Ivy League Colleges, I was really all alone in the process, I had no one to advice me, my teachers never heard about the Common App, and I made the mistake of applying to only two colleges. For one of them I got and interview, it went very well and I was confident I could make it. Ultimately I did not, but somehow I think it was for the best, now I’m top 10% in my College (I have only been here for 3 months) and I will be forming part of the Peruvian Universities team for Harvard National MUN next year, I’m actually the only freshman in the team, and I worked hard to get in.
Languages!
I’m not sure how important this is, but i really love languages! I speak Serbian (first language), Spanish and English, and currently I started with French classes, and I’m teaching myself (online) Arabic (I already know how to write and read)
Grades
IB predicted: 36
IB: 30
SATs: 1600 (going to take them again anyway)
SAT II: Spanish 800 and Biology 580
TOEFL: 101
Final comments:
Well I’m applying with financial aid, I know this makes it harder though. I would speak a lot more about myself, but I dont want to make this so long! so ask me any questions. I really want to know what are my chances and which colleges can you recommend me to apply.

<p>You’re SATs are 1600… is that CR + M? That’s literally perfect why would you take it again. Unless you’re writing score is really really low?</p>
