I came here my sophomore year. I screwed up my first year here because of language problem, so my gpa is a 3.9 right now (from sophomore to junior year, ap counted as 4.0). I will take 6 ap classes in total because my school has limited classes. I did quiz bowl, choir, science fair competition, cross country, and tennis. I have volunteering records and an internship. I got 1950 for the old SAT and 28 on act. (I know that’s pretty bad for an Asian :/) Now I’m looking for a school with good physics or math. Is there any decent college I could probably look into?
Lots of them. Start with the public universities in your home state. If you don’t qualify for financial aid, the state flagship often will offer the best bang for the buck in terms of variety of courses & majors, and decent instruction, for a relatively affordable sticker price.
If you qualify for need-based aid, and if you think your parents can cover the Expected Family Contribution, then consider relatively selective private schools. Here are a few possibilities:

A good public college for STEM, one with relatively low OOS sticker prices, is New Mexico Tech (formerly NM Institute of Mining & Technology.) Colorado School of Mines might be another possibility.
All these schools are among the top 50 baccalaureate-origin institutions of 2002–11 science & engineering doctorate recipients, by institutional-yield ratio (alumni STEM PhDs per capita). They are all selective, but not out of reach for your stats.
