International Student Retake SAT?

Hey,

I’m currently a student in New Zealand intending to apply to HYPSMC.

My current ACT Score after 1 take (only 2 opportunities per year here in Oct and April) is:
35 Composite
36 Maths
35 English (8 Essay)
35 Science
32 Reading
31 Writing/English Subscore :(

My current SAT1 Superscored after 3 takes (improved significantly after the last one) is:
2220 Total
790 Maths
760 Writing (10 Essay)
670 Reading

I’m using the December SAT’s to retake my subject tests but currently I’m unsure about whether to retake my SAT1 in January.

I have a few major concerns mainly because I am an international student and I don’t exactly know how things work in USA. Do those top universities to be of that much importance as SAT. Would it be a good idea to completely not submit my SAT even though my scaled writing/english is quite disappointing. Should I take the January SAT focusing exclusively on the Reading section?

I think the rest of my application is quite good because I have 39-40/42 IB, an International Maths Olympiad Silver Medal, various national running awards and I am highly involved with leadership positions in other ECs such as Debating, MUN, Tennis, Maths Club etc

I still need to write all of my application Essays but I feel confident that I can write them well and I am quite sociable so I think my interviews will also go well.

I am only worried about this SAT as I have seen many others with SAT’s higher than this get rejected.

Thanks in advance! :)

Can someone please help?

2200+ SAT score is definitely fine. it all comes down to your essays, your recommendation letters and your interview:)
