International Student taking SAT II U.S History

Hi there!

My name is Vincent, I’m a student from France, currently studying for the SAT.
I decided to take SAT II U.S History. I have a close friend who’s in college in the U.S. and she advised me to buy
“United States History—Preparing for the Advanced Placement Examination by AMSCO publishing”

She said that such a book for AP exams would be more than sufficient for SAT II.
So here’s the thing, I would like to have additional opinions on this book, and if it’s more efficient to prepare to the SAT with AP prep books.

Thanks a lot!

Prepare for the SAT with an SAT book. The tests are different.
Why not take world history rather than US? You’re probably more familiar with the material.

I’m aware that the tests are different but what about the content? A lot of guys on Amazon said that this book is great and that they got 800/800 at their SAT II, learning with it.
(But no one talked precisely about the content)

Actually, my friend who advised me this is French too. I thought the same about world history but I think there will be way more to learn.
I studied history in France, but we studied a lot of French history (which is quite a lot), world wars, and a little about other european countries (Italy, Spain, GB)
So, U.S history is shorter (she said) and more interesting, and easier to learn.

But thanks for your answer! :)
