It looks like the administration is halting all new student visas interviews. Does this also include BS students?
“Effective immediately, in preparation for an expansion of required social media screening and vetting, consular sections should not add any additional student or exchange visitor (F, M, and J) visa appointment capacity until further guidance is issued septel, which we anticipate in the coming days,” the cable states. (“Septel” is State Department shorthand for “separate telegram.”)

I think BS students get F visas, but I am not at all certain. Perhaps some of the international students here can tell us what they have.
My son is lucky to have dual citizenship. If he didn’t? It pains me to say this, but I would be pulling the plug on this grand adventure, if only because of the sensation that the rug mightget pulled out from under us without warning, in future. I am grateful to not have to make that decision. We are committed.
I am curious if cold feet leads to waiting list movement at a later than usual date? I sincerely hope not. And I truly feel for families who are feeling conflicted.

Do you think that the financial pressures that colleges are facing after losing at least some of their international students? It sounds like some colleges are having to significantly cut programs without the tuitions from foreign students. BS might not be as directly impacted as colleges, but if they lose 10-20% of their non-FA students, this could have a significant impact on their revenues.
