I’m an international student with a third culture background. I’m a senior and I’m doing the full IB with four Higher Levels, which is about the most rigorous course load in my school (not like the IB in itself isn’t rigorous enough).
Is anyone here a freshman at Yale who is like me (international, TCK, IB student et al)? Also, does Yale straight out reject international applicants whose SAT scores may not be as high as US applicants? I’ve been in around 5 different schooling systems my whole life and none of them ever really did SAT type exams so I haven’t exactly got the ‘training’ that most US students have from around 8th grade. I took the SATs in May for the first time with no prep whatsoever and I got a score that was well above the average, but nowhere near the ridiculously high and near perfect scores a lot of accepted students get. I’m redoing them this November with some prep, but how does this affect my chances?
