International Transfer - full need met

Hi All,

I have somewhat unusual circumstances, and I’m wondering if anyone can give me some advice?
I’m an international student, finishing up an AA at community college, and hoping to transfer anywhere in Fall 2013. Ideally I’d like to study Philosophy and/or International Development.

I have used all my savings on tuition and living expenses for my AA degree, so am looking for schools that meet full need, or provide very generous financial aid for international transfer students.

In addition, I have a bachelor’s degree from my home country, which is useless in the USA. However, it’s still a bachelor’s degree and some colleges do not allow people to attend if they have a bachelors (most of the “good schools”).

I’m not wedded to any school or region in particular, I simply want to keep studying somewhere that doesn’t completely waste my time.

Does anyone know of some schools that meet these criteria? I have a few, but the list isn’t long.

Thanks in advance.

I do not know of any college or university that will meet the full need of a student who is pursuing a second bachelor degree. If you were a US student, you would be limited to federal loans, and those would cut off once you hit the lifetime maximum.

Unfortunately, you have received terrible advice. You should not have been allowed to believe that there would be the possibility of receiving the kind of aid that you need for a second bachelors.
