Hello, I’m an international student which currently studies in Mexico. I want to transfer to the UC in the Fall 2013 term, and I have a question about the academic records I have to provide. I know this is not the forum for international transfers, but the process is very similar and you might be able to provide me with an answer.

My current academic program is Chemistry, however, I enrolled in the Political Sciences program of another university for two terms. After one month of beginning my Political Sciences studies I realized I would rather study Chemistry; therefore, during those two terms, I didn’t attend to college for long periods because I was preparing myself for the National Autonomous University of Mexico admission test, which I had to present in order to be accepted to Chemistry. I didn’t receive an evaluation for the majority of those courses because of my absences, however, some professors did gave me low grades on their courses, even thought I was planning to change to another school. As I understand I must report enrollment and course work from all colleges and universities, regardless of the length of attendance, or whether courses or degrees were completed. My question is: Would those low grades in my academic record of my previous university affect my chances of admission, even though my grades in my current university are really high?
