What do you guys think? I’m talking about in terms of society.

Friend, for sure. Instantaneous information exchange, increased productivity, ability to monitor and control a wide variety of things from anywhere in the world, and the list goes infinitely on… The internet is an amazing thing that I doubt modern society could survive without. Hell, I go through withdrawals when my ISP goes down for more than a few hours ;)

Friend, although once I say I have to use the computer my parents give me a really awful “evil” glare… . they think the internet is the most harmful thing someone can use… but that’s only if you abuse it. They’ve limited access 4 me and my siblings…which is why I’m looking forward to college, no more damn restrictions :(

I mean, you can look at it in 2 ways obviously, and it comes down to a matter if someone can control themselves and use it for keeping up to date and research, learning, work, etc … or if someone will use it to waste time, watch porn, do morally low activities, etc. In the end it’s all about moderation, like everything else in this world.

Foe

It replaces a need for social skills. I feel like I’msome kind of sociopathic keyboard jockey sometimes ;).

Internet is a friend if you make it your friend; it’s a foe if you make it your foe. It all depends on how YOU utilize this resource.

As for the society, I think it’s 50/50. They are these among us who take advantage of the web, and those who choose to let a virtual world control their lives.

shhhhhhhhhhhhh!

it can hear us…
