Internet Usage at Cornell - Cell Phone

<p>If I am on a data plan from a cell phone provider, and I check my email, instant message, etc… from my cell phone, does it affect my ResNet bandwidth internet usage? It doesn’t seem like it should, but I just want to make sure. I don’t really understand this stuff :/</p>

<p>No, your data plan is for your cell phone provider. You go on the internet via your service provider, not through ResNet.</p>

<p>ResNet is the wired internet connection provided by the university. RedRover is the wireless one, and they have nothing to do with your cellphone’s data plan.</p>
