Hello, I was wondering if Berkshire Hathaway offers an undergraduate summer internship program and how competitive it is. Sorry for such an open-ended question, but I’m a high school senior right now, and probably will go to UChicago with economics as a major, and Berkshire has always been a dream internship. However, I can’t seem to find one on their website, so can anyone help me out?

it says no internships are available right now

btw, if you have found any business/economics internship for the summer after your senior year, please tell me. I’m in the same stage and looking for something.

If you are thinking about hob nobbing with big Warren…look elsewhere. Berkshire Hathaway, the holding company, employs approximately 16 people I believe. All decisions are made by Buffett (aka the asset allocation).

He had tried to teach some graduate of Stanford a decade or two ago and it didn’t really work out (he simply was too involved in the decisions making process and couldn’t make himself delegate responsibility to others). Read his biography by Lowenstein…its a good read.
