<p>I’m majoring in mechanical engineering and I’ve been looking around at internships. My main goal is the get involved in energy (I’ll be doing an energy systems concentration). There are many mechanical engineering internship opportunities around me but not really any that are involved in energy (I’ve only looked online, I still plan to go through the schools internship program and see what they have).</p>
<p>Should I hold off on applying for internships until I find one that’s energy related or does it not really matter this early on? (I’m in my sophomore year FYI)</p>
